9 Bizzare Forests On Earth!!

When we think of the forest, all we get to imagine is total dense trees which would be huge and old living from a very very long time, wildlife and the darkness which is because of those dense huge trees.
16But it would be bizarre if you come to know that   there are forests that are not at like this. These are the forests that are very unusual on Earth.

#1. Song Doong Cave Underground Forest- VIETNAM
This image by National Geographic shows the Underground Forest at Song Doong Cave where you can only reach by rapelling down through the opening of the cave. At more than 200m high, 150m wide, and 5km long the Song Doong cave is big enough to have its own river, jungle and its own climate. It was undiscovered until year 2009.
#2.Crooked Forest- POLAND
These tress in Gryfino, were planted in 1930 during the German occupancy of the area. Other than this not much is known as to why these trees grow the way they are?
#3. Sunken Forest- KAZAKHSTAN
This strange sight at Lake Kaindy in Kazakhstan is due to the earthquake that took place in the year 1911 which caused a landslide giving rise to a natural dam. The spruce trees which once were a part of the valley are now partially submerged while almost preserved lower halves below the surface.
#4. Dragon Blood’s Forest- Socotra Island
The image shows that why do they call the Socotra Island as “the most alien landscape on the planet”. Between the strange flat top Dragon Blood’s tree and chubby cucumber tree its is sure that there is diversity in varieties of tress on this Island off the coast of Yemen.
#5. Avenue of Baobabs- MADAGASCAR
These huge 800 years old tress has swollen trunks as they can store up to 31,700 gallons of water. They stand as giants amidst the barren surrounding landscape.
#6. Deadvlei Forest – NAMIBIA
This forest is more over a desert if you see. The camel thorn trees in Deadvlei sprouted some 900 years ago due to intense rain but the water soon dried up killing all the trees. The trees were prevented from decaying due to a dry climate. They actually are not petrified but have turned black due to centuries of the sun they have stood in.
#7. Monkey Puzzle Forest- CHILE
These Monkey Puzzle trees are native to southern Chile. They are considered as living fossils and are cultivated for its wood and edible seeds. Sadly in recent years, the global population of these trees has come down endangering it since the year 2013.
#8. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park- China
The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park became a thrust to the eyes of foreign travelers since the movie Avatar. The Hallelujah Mountains in movie Avatar were inspired by the heavenly pillars in Zhangjiajie Forest Park. It is famous for precarious peaks, limpid streams, dense forest and large karst caves. It became China’s first National Forest Park in the year 1982.
#9. Yili Apricot Valley- CHINA
These rolling hills in Xinjiang explode into the sea of white and pink every year marking the fruiting season, transforming the landscape into something beautiful to look at.
