Many of us have been caught talking to ourselves, whether it’s devising a plan or working out an issue with yourself. In society, it’s seen as strange to have a conversation when no one else is around, but science is proving doing so might be a benefit!
Studies show that talking to yourself is a sign that you are in fact a genius…as you can learn quicker and boost long term memory. The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology says that repeating specific things to yourself out loud helps with memory and creates an easier way to problem solve.
